B & L Opportunity Scholarship
This scholarship will be awarded to a graduating Yankton High School Senior attending an accredited public post-secondary school including two-year community or technical college or a four-year university or college (Augustana University in Sioux Falls is also included). This $5,000 scholarship will be paid $2,500 per semester and is renewable the second year with passing grades. The award will be applied to tuition, fees, books and/or supplies. The scholarship will be offered every other year to YHS Seniors. Criteria: A graduating senior from Yankton High School Good academic standing Financial Need Good work ethic To apply, please submit this application form along with a brief statement addressing your biographical information and career goals. Multiple scholarships at a minimum of $500.00 each will be awarded for the 2022 academic year. Eligibility Requirements To apply for the Yankton Rotary Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must: Be a senior in high school and/or hold a high school degree and must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better. Scholarship are available to residents of South Dakota and/or students who are attending an accredited South Dakota institute of higher learning.
Scholarship qualifications, leadership qualifications and financial need form an essential part of the committee’s review process and reflect the objectives sought by the committee.
Children and grandchildren of current Rotary members are not eligible for these scholarships.

Yankton High School encourages student-athletes to further their education after High School graduation. The Yankton High School Y-Club is proud to be able to provide additional resources to our student-athletes by awarding two (2) $250 scholarships which are to be used to defray educational costs of attending an institution of higher education. Who May Apply: Any Yankton High School student who meets the following criteria: 1. Y-Club Member (Must attend meetings on a regular basis) 2. Senior 3.
